Pinterest Challenge - Bunny Shirts

I have been having a Pinterest Party every week hoping that people will link up their Pinterest Projects. Well we have been getting more non related links than related. So I decided just to share my Pinterest Bucket list projects. If you like you can link yours in the comments section.

Feel free to still use the Button. It's still fun to share that you took the challenge. ;D

Trendy Treehouse
Today I am sharing a project for Easter. I found THIS on Pinterest. Check it out. It is so cute. It's an adorable bunny applique for Easter with a fluffy tail.

I made this one for a friends daughter. Its on a onesie. Also made a braided headband and clippie to match.
I made some for my girls too but haven't quite finished them yet. I will add them to the post as soon as I finish them. ;D

All I did was use a no sew bond. I like the hold better. Then embroidered around the edge. The tail is a pre-made pin I found in the jewelry department a while back. I knew it would come in handy some day. Turned out cute! I can't wait to see her wear it.

Cake Batter Buddies
I found this cake batter buddy recipe that I knew our family would love. They already love the muddy buddies that I make. ;) Check out the recipe and a larger pic of my buddies too below the link party!
PLEASE READ...I am getting a few more link ups that don't apply and don't always have time to get them off right away. Please remember to only link up posts that relate to this part. You can link up all others to our Create and Share party on Wednesdays. Thanks!

...Cake Batter Buddies...

Remember I got my {PIN}spiration HERE.
My ingredients are a little different.
...What you will need...
5 cups of rice chex cereal
12 oz. bag of white chocolate chips
1 tsp. vegetable shortening
1 1/2 cups of funfetti cake mix or (any cake mix, add sprinkles)
1/2 cup of powdered sugar

How to make this yummy treat....measure out your rice chex cereal and set aside.

Melt chocolate in a microwave safe dish. 30 sec at a time so you don't scorch the chocolate. Stir between each 30 sec until smooth and thin. You can add 1 tsp. of vegetable shortening to thin your chocolate. This is optional. I did use it and loved how it thinned the chocolate. It helped by keeping the chocolate from clumping up. Which can often happen when using chocolate chips.

While the chocolate is melting....in a separate bowl, mix cake batter and powdered sugar. Set aside.

Once the chocolate is melted you can now pour it over your rice chex cereal. Gently stir to coat all of the cereal.

Now just gently mix in the cake batter and powdered sugar mixture. It will cover all the chocolate covered cereal making a yummy sugary coating.

That's it. Very simple and can be made in a matter of minutes. I must advise that this is very addicted and you will want to make a double, if not triple batch. Ours was gone almost instantly. My hubby sat down last night and wanted some, but it was already all gone. :( He grumbled, "Did you give it all away?" :Nope, we ate it all." I said. "Already?!?" He said. He was very shocked. And I loved that he was telling people how good it was at our sons baseball practice. I was handing out the recipe. ;)

I hope you enjoy this as much as we did. We have a new favorite recipe to add to our long list of goodies. LOL
I originally made this for my kids as a surprise when they got home from school on Tuesday. I was leaving town for the night for a school function and was sad to go. So I wanted them to have a treat (surprise) from mommy when they got home. So I made these and another treat, recipe to come soon, and left them a note.
I let them know how much I was going to miss them, to do their homework, be good for Daddy, be helpful and to say their prayers. Also, said I hoped they enjoyed the treats I made them and that I would see them tomorrow night. But.....
About 2 hours before I left, the principal called. I thought he was letting me know when we were leaving. I was going with him and two of the teachers to a training down in Berkley. Nope, he was calling because my youngest had fallen off the monkey bars at school. :( And that she needed mommy to come look at her arm. Long story short, I did not go to Berkley. I instead helped my little one through her first broken arm. :( We quickly joked that all she had to do was ask me to stay home. She didn't have to go and break her arm to get me to stay. LOL She looked at us funny!
Below she is happily showing off her PINK cast! She was so brave and tough. Hardly complained at all. And not that I am glad she broke her arm or anything, but it was a blessing in disguise. They found a cyst on her bone near her elbow. The doctor said it is very common and that it should eventually go away but we will need to x-ray up to two times a year to keep an eye on it (making sure it doesn't grow or affect the use of her arm) until she is 16. WOW! Never would have known.
Please keep her in your prayers, that this cyst does not give her any trouble. Thank you!
Sorry for the grainy pic. We were having fun playing with the "Half Tone" app on my iPhone. LOL If you have an iPhone you will want this app. It is so fun!

Edible Cookie Dough - Shamrock Style ;)
I found these edible cookie dough recipes on Pinterest that I had to try. I had a fun idea for this for St. Patricks day. See my spin on this below the link party.
PLEASE READ...I am getting a few more link ups that don't apply and don't always have time to get them off right away. Please remember to only link up posts that relate to this part. You can link up all others to our Create and Share party on Wednesdays. Thanks!

...Edible Cookie Dough - Shamrock Style...
For St. Patricks Day of course!

Remember I got my {PIN}spiration HERE.
For mine, I used the edible cake batter cookie dough recipe.

...What you will need...
1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
2/3 cup White Cake Mix (original called for yellow)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional, I used green)
4-8 tablespoons water
white chocolate chips (with a twist, see below)
Box of Andes mints, broken up
Green food coloring
Wax Paper

...Directions...
In a mixing bowl, cream together both the butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes or until fluffy and completely mixed. Stir in flour, cake mix, salt, and vanilla. Next drop in some of that green food coloring, stir and add more until you are satisfied with the color. Add as much or as little as you like. No need to go crazy, just being green is fun for St. Patricks Day! Add one tablespoon of water at a time, mixing after each tablespoon, until you reach cookie dough consistency.

Now you can mix in the fun stuff.
Sprinkles, green and white chocolate chips (see below on how to make the green chips) and andes mints. Anything fun and green related for St. Patricks day will do.

...Green Chocolate Chips...
Get some white chocolates chips and melt them in a microwave safe bowl or bottle. Mix in some green food coloring. Make these darker than your mix so they stand out a bit. If using a bowl, once melted and colored, add to a plastic bag, cut the tip off one end of the bag. If using a bottle, make sure you mix in that food coloring good. Sometimes I use the handle end of my spoon to get down in that bottle.
Now just grab some wax paper and begin making cute lil green chocolate chips. Once hardened, you can mix them into your edible mix.

Silhouette Room Decor
I saw THIS on Pinterest and it reminded me of the Silhouettes I made of my kiddos a few years back. So technichally this was not inspired, but it reminded me. LOL So check out mine below and I'll share how I made them too!

...Silhouette Room Decor...
Remember I got my {PIN}spiration HERE.
These were very fun to make and the kids had fun helping me too!
To start I took a picture of my kids (profile of course) and printed it out on contact paper. Cut out the  profile and place on a piece of canvas. I used some 10 x 10 canvas found at Michael's Craft Store.
Next have the kids help sponge the canvas, using multiple colors. Don't worry about getting it on the contact paper, you are just going to remove it. Once you are done painting, just peel off the contact paper leaving a perfect silhouette of your cute kiddo. You can leave it plain or you can mod podge on some of their favorite images. Back then I even added the age of my two little ones on theirs.

Here is a close up of theirs.
I also made one on wood. On this one I wanted to use a whole photo and it turned out pretty darn cute. What do you think? When hung, it is diamond shaped.
I will be sharing photos of their rooms in the next couple of months. We are redecorating and painting. If I already mentioned this, Sorry! ;)
I loved how these look in their rooms. The kids are very proud of them and have even taken them to show and tell at school.

You is... Print
Remember I got my {PIN}spiration HEREI love this print!

...My "You Is" Prints...
Here they are. My "You is Kind, You is Smart, You is Important" Prints
I made these to match my kiddos bedrooms and I wanted them to have their names on them. I thought it would be cute to add the bunting too.
I made all four of these in Photoshop and found the bunting brush too HERE. First I opened a new page (size 8x10). I added a background color that matched their bedrooms. Next I added their names close to the center of the page, also in the color I prefered. Next I typed (in white) the "you is" quote. Then I raterized it so I could erase some of it. I erased the words that were behind the kids names. It helps the name stand out. I then added a new layer for my bunting brush. Made the bunting the same color as the name by using my paint bucket tool. I added a second bunting layer to get the swag look. And that was it.

I plan on printing these out, matting and framing them for the kids rooms. They are going to look so cute and fit right in with the colors of their room!
I'll share photos of their rooms soon. We are painting and redecorating. They were very excited to go to the paint store and pick out colors. So room updates coming soon....
