Shutter Love Winners | Crazy Faces

First I wanted to let you all know that my buttons are no longer available. Someone else was hosting them and they closed their account. So I lost them. BOO! I loved my flash buttons. So we have to go back to the old until I get some new designs.
Anyone want to help me make some flash buttons?
I am so not good at that! Thanks.
You can grab this old button below for now. Visit HERE to grab it!

In need of some Father's Day help!

You may remember this post from last year.
I told you about the shirts I've made for my kids to wear on Father's Day.

2008 - "following in daddy's footsteps"

2008 - "my dad is a perfect ten"

2009- "my dad rocks"

2010 - "my dad is the bomb"
So I'm still trying to decide what to do for Father's Day this year.
I've got three shirts to make...and not a TON of time.

I saw this cute shirt that Jess from Running with scissors made,
and I'm totally thinking about making it.
But my idea includes a personal drawing by the kids
(of which only Naomi can really do)
and embroidery floss on the t-shirt.

My other idea is to have the same words but in the middle do a
Supermanesque "DAD" logo with fabric paint.

The last thought I have is to make the kids AND my husband matching tie shirts.
I was thinking of putting "daddy's girl" on the ties that the girls would be wearing.

So, what do you think? What should I make?
I'm wondering if I should catalog the first idea and wait till all the kids
can draw pictures of them with dad? Hmmm....

Would LOVE to hear your thoughts...and then you can see what I make AFTER Father's Day.
I always like it to be a surprise when they show up for church,
since he doesn't see them dressed before we get to church on Sundays.

The kids and I just took this on the Apple Photobooth. We took a lot. It was so funny seeing all the faces we made. I even had a pretty scary one. My eyes did some crazy stuff. LOL This was everyones favorite. So we are sharing it here. ;-)

Chalk Art

This is a fun, quick and easy project for any afternoon.

What you will need...
Black Construction Paper
Chalk ( a mix of colors )
Stencils or Your Imagination
Hairspray
Laminator ( optional )
For this tutorial I will show you the Stencils look!
First, have the kids pick out their favorite stencils. I love using stencils and buy them all the time. They are great to keep on hand for many projects. Once you have your favorites, start tracing them on the black construction paper with your chalk. Use a lot of colors for a bright and colorful art piece.
Just keep adding and adding to get the look you are going for! When you are completely done with all your drawing, with your finger, rub the chalk to fill in the blank spaces. It also gives it a more finished look. Lastly, finish it off by lightly spraying with hairspray. You can even laminate your art to help preserve it. Personally, I like to laminate them!
Here is the finished look! I helped write out the word LOVE and then let the kids go to work.
Another close up of the finished look.
There is so much you can do with Chalk and we love how this turned out.
