Kiki's Maternity Fashions Review and Giveaway

I LOVED being pregnant....well, that is until I got very
impatient at the end of this pregnancy.
I was just over it by the time I got to 30 weeks.

One thing I love about being pregnant is the clothes.
I am a big fan of maternity clothes....now I realize that most people
hate this aspect of being pregnant, but I love a good excuse
to wear stretchy waisted pants and tight shirts.
You see, I am not a little person. I've never been one of the little girls.
But I'm going to work on becoming one of the little girls.

Anyway,
so when it comes time to put on the stretchy waisted pants
and have a GOOD reason for it I'm all about it.
I do not like tight shirts when I'm not pregnant,
I want to hide my muffin top in a serious way.
So, when I am pregnant I don't mind showing off
my belly with a tighter shirt.
That all being said, I love to find cute shirts that not only
show off the cute baby belly,
but that are comfortable, stay put ON my belly and look good.

I've found a great website with great maternity clothes
that are not only cute, comfortable, and look good
but they are also affordable, and since you're only wearing
some of this stuff for a few months it has to be affordable.

Kiki's Maternity Fashions asked me to pick something out to review
AND
they are giving one of my lucky readers
$25 to spend in their store!!!

It took me a while to pick out what I wanted to review...
since I'm no longer pregnant I wanted to make sure
I got something that I could use next time around
(if/when there is a next time around).
I also wanted something that I could use now
on my post-pregnancy body...which I'm still trying to hide.
There were so many great things to choose from
that I needed to look everything over,
sleep on it and then look again.

I love this little striped button down sweater.
It's perfect for the cool Texas days,
it's RED...my favorite color,
it's comfortable and just cute!

The people at Kiki's were very kind and helpful
and shipping was super fast!
I was happy to work with them,
am happy to recommend them to you
and would be happy to work with them again in the future
(if/when we have more kids).

I can't believe I'm going to show you all my
post-pregnancy body...it's just me being self-conscious.
But you've gotta see this cute sweater.

So how can you win $25 of free money to spend at Kiki's Maternity Fashions?

Thanksgiving crafts the whole family can do

Here are a few Thanksgiving crafts that we have done in years past.
These are all pretty simple and can be done with things you probably already have.

Here's our family of turkeys!!

What you need:
cardboard cereal box (or any kind of cardboard)
red, orange, yellow and brown paint
a paintbrush
googly eyes
brown pipe cleaners

Just paint the palm of your hand and your thumb brown,
then paint your other fingers with the red, orange and yellow
put your hand print on the cardboard,
cut it out, add the pipe cleaners for legs and the googly eye and you're all set.

Some corn on the cob!!

What you need:
cardboard
popcorn brown paper glue

Cut out the basic corn on the cob shape from the cardboard,
pop the popcorn and glue in onto the shape.
Cut the brown paper in waves, crinkle the paper and then put
the "husks" on the back of the corn.

And some pumpkin pie!

What you need:
paper plate
brown paint
cinnamon
cotton balls
glue

Just paint the paper plate brown and before it dries sprinkle the paint with cinnamon.
When the paint is cut the paper plate into 8 pieces,

then glue the cotton balls onto the edges of the pie pieces.

See, I told you they were pretty easy!
Have fun crafting...and have a

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
(even though it's still two weeks away).

Recently I was sent the Scandle Shimmering Body Candle for review. I reviewed the Warm Vanilla Sugar. It smells so good. The aroma through the mail package was so strong and once I opened it, my car smelled like I had just baked cookies. I couldn't wait to use it! The first time I used the Scandle, I used it to massage my own hands and arms. I read that some women use it for their cuticles and thought I would start there. I really liked the warmth of the candle. It was very soothing and to have the scent and shimmer to boot, I was thrilled. Next, I tried out this candle by getting my hubby to give me a massage. LOL Who doesn't love a good back massage. The Scandle burns at just 2 degrees above body temperature so when it hits your skin, it's not too shocking. It's actually very soothing. Scandle was designed to give you a healthy. sexy and flawless glow! This is perfect to use on those special evenings out on the town. Just make sure when you use the Scandle you burn it long enough for the melted edges to reach the sides of the tin. This will help keep the candle even and you will get more use out of it. The other thing that I loved about the Scandle Shimmering Body Candle is that it is made from 100% natural ingredients. It will also hydrate your skin. You will love using this candle and have no complaints. I fell in love with it as soon as I smelled it! The shimmer was a bonus. There are 18 different fragrances that you could choose from. Including.... honeysuckle, gardenia, lavender, margarita, eucalyptus and many more. They even have some holiday candle scents to try. These candles are only $22 so they are the perfect price for gift giving as well. The other bonus is that it comes in a travel tin. So take this on the road and give it as a gift too! You will not be disappointed and will go back for more!

Turkey Spinach Egg Scramble

A friend of mine made this delicious breakfast for us after our workout. I loved it so much that I took a pic on my phone and had to share the recipe. I know you will love it!

What you will need...
  • Ground Turkey
  • Minced Garlic
  • Diced Onion
  • Spinach
  • Eggs - scrambled
  • Avacado
  • Taco Sauce or your preferred spicy sauce
Start by cooking your turkey in a skillet. Add in the minced garlic and diced onions. Once cooked... Drain excess fluid. Add in your Spinach and let it cook down. You will need a lot of spinach. We used 3 large handfuls. After that has cooked down a bit you want to add in your scrambled eggs. Continue to cook until eggs are done. Place on plate and add slices of Avacado. Sprinkle on your favorite taco sauce and its ready to go.

This is a quick recipe that you can make that is healthy too. To make it even healthier you can just add egg whites. We just didn't have time to separate the eggs that morning. HA! HA!

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment!

Have a great Monday!
