Make sure you go by to visit her at her blog The Crazy Days - "Going Green with Noah" You will have fun reading all of her great posts.

My name is Melanie and I am a 32 year old stay at home mom to our 7 month son, Noah Bradley. I have always been a photo bug at heart, thanks to my mom. Always needing the next best camera, my husband gave me my first DSLR for our wedding present back in 2008 and after having taken a course to learn how to use it (and a few good lenses), my love for photography only escalated.  With a baby boy at home, I am never short of a little model to shoot!  In my house, we always try to be as "green" as possible and blog a lot about that!  Come and visit my site when you can: The Crazy Days - Going Green with Noah.
If you would like to be a Guest Judge please email us HERE! Please include links to some of your photography examples. Thanks

Z2Wear Review

Z2Wear is a hip place for high end girls clothes. You will find rompers, tunics, dresses, shirts and messenger sacks. These clothes are so chic looking. Any girl would love to own these hip girls clothes. Not only are they cute for girls, you cool moms will love them too!

The Z2 wear girl has her own little twinkle before she truly shines! The new Elite Collection takes inspiration from that belief.
I was so lucky to be able to review one of Z2Wears Z2 Sack. I love it as much as my girls do. They are quite old enough to use it so I get to. They just think it is so pretty. LOL We have been using our sack every chance we get. It can be used for so many different things, I know you will love it. So far we have used ours for keeping my business supplies close at hand, taking swim suits to a friends for a day by the pool, sneaking candy into the movies (shhh, don't tell, LOL) and taking toys and books into dinner to keep the kids busy. My friends daughter (15) even borrowed it for a day out with her friends. They all loved it and wanted to know where they could get one. Before I forget, the Sack we got was called "Shark Skin" It is a beautifully made shiny blue fabric with hot pink stitching and has the cool Z2Wear Logo on one of the pockets. This sack along with the clothing line will have your teens and tweens happy. I definitely recommend checking into Z2Wear today!

What girl wouldn't want this Tunic! This is Z2Wears "Garden Paisley Tunic" I love the teal and charcoal pattern. This top is made from 100% cotton with a mandarin collar, placket front and ruffles with deep cuff. It will be available this August. Set your sights on this now because I know it will go fast.
This "Juliet Romper" is so cute. It is shown wearing over the Garden Paisley Tunic. What great combination. This is also made of 100% cotton and is sleeveless with great ribbon detail. Just as cute with out the tunic underneath. This will also be available this August. Start writing down your wish list.
Oh My, check out this adorable "Scottsdale Jumper". This is made of Indigo Stretch Denim and is also 100% cotton. It has pleated w/crystal patch pockets and a top stich faux belt. This lil romper would be cute for any occasion. Dress it up with one of their adorable tunic and messenger sacks for fun day out.
This is another great "Messenger Sack" that I had to show off. I love the striped pattern and the embroidered touches. The crystals add a beautiful finish as well as their adorable logo. Use the saddle strap to easily carry this to work or play.

♥ Guest Blogger ♥

Well this week we have a visit back from a past guest blogger. Actually, Rebekah from Potholes and Pantyhose will be bringing us great posts once a month. YEAH! She has such great talent, we are so glad to have her here. So let's welcome Rebekah back!

~ She is posting a fantastic tutorial on how to make your photo POP. Sorry little pun there. There is a bubble in the photo. LOL On to Rebekah's great post~

I am more than happy to be a guest blogger at Trendy Treehouse! I just love Tara for allowing my weirdness on her site. I’m Rebekah from www.potholesandpantyhose.com and I blog about my life on the road with my musician hubby, my remodeling projects, my photography, and the arts and crap that I enjoy making from cast-offs. I try to maintain a somewhat normal life, however, normalcy keeps escaping me.

Let me give you a disclaimer on this tutorial-I am not a professional photographer. I just
enjoy sharing the knowledge that I do have with people that might appreciate a tip here or there.

Today, I would like to show you how to take and edit an unconventional photo.
Let’s get started! Making your subject at ease can be tough. I like to put the client in a familiar setting or position to help them relax. My subject was most at ease doing this-blowing a bubble.
Isn’t he just the cutest?
I liked the photo, but there were a few things that needed a fixin’. (That’s Okie talk...)
I didn’t like the chair sticking into the frame. I made a copy of the background and then cropped out the offender.
His skin looked a little flat, so I used the ‘diffuse glow’ function. It’s very flattering to skin tones-boys and girls alike.
He looks so darn purty now. But don’t tell him. He is very macho.
The overall color was too brown for me. I adjusted the levels using ‘color balance’ (found under the tab ‘Image’ and scrolling down to ‘adjustments’).
His eyes needed to pop a little more, so I lassoed both of those cute little suckers and clicked on the ‘Filter’ tab. Scroll down to ‘Sharpen’ and then choose ‘unsharp mask’ and adjust the amount, the radius and the threshold to your liking.
I learned this from Pioneer Woman. I like her. And her photo tricks.
Next, I wanted the bubble gum to stand out a bit more. I lassoed it and then clicked on the ‘Image’ tab and scrolled down to ‘Hue and Saturation’. I brought out the pink in the gum a little more.
Here is the cute finished product. I just love this little guy. However, he is my nephew after all, and I am a little biased.
Come on by www.potholesandpanythose.com to see other basic tutorials on photography, arts and crap, remodeling or many other weirdo things that I am into. I would love to hear from you!
Thanks again Tara for letting me guest blog today!
-Rebekah

Fun Personalized T-Shirts

I LOVE blog hopping.
I LOVE reading blogs.
The wealth of creative ideas is A-MAZING!

I will confess, however, that I hardly ever log into my google reader
to read the blogs that I "follow" or have just added to my reader.
The shear volume of content to read scares me off.

But there are blogs that I visit on a regular basis...
they usually get added to my links/creative blogs list on my own blog,
so that I know to go back and check for new ideas.

I guess you could call me a blog snob.
Or just a busy mom...
because I'm pretty particular about what I spend my time reading.
I'm grateful that you other blog snobs busy moms take time to read
my ramblings...here and on my regular blog.

One creative mom that I visit often is Cheri at
I am Momma Hear Me Roar!
She's always got new and fun ideas to share,
plus she's got little boys in her life and we all know
that sometimes theres a shortage of awesome things
for awesome little boys.

So, I started making some "Cheri knock-offs"
for some of the little boys in my life.
Not only do I have a son but I also have four godsons
that I like to make gifts for.

All you need is a plain shirt,
a bleach pen, some embroidery floss,
and you can do some freezer paper stenciling
like I showed you a couple of weeks ago.
Make sure to check out Cheri's blog for a bleach pen tutorial.

This first one is pretty much a direct copy of this shirt Cheri made.
My godson Asher LOVED it!
The second one I made was for my godson Jeremiah.
I made this one based on this shirt of Cheri's.
Obviously mine is a little more on the messy side,
but I like it like that...
and Jeremiah loves it.
That's all that matters.
The kid put it on right away.
(I guess it helps that he's really into muscle shirts right now too.)
So, go grab a bleach pen, some old t-shirts and start making things brand new!
Oh and Cheri has TONS of other stuff, not just shirts for little guys!
Go check it out!

I've got a couple of giveaways going on over at my regular blog,
so make sure to stop over and check em out!
