Sibu Nourishing Cream Review and Giveaway

When I was younger I didn't take very good care of my skin...well, I didn't really have to. I was blessed with pretty good skin. It wasn't too oily, or dry and I didn't get many blemishes. I remember my sister always telling me that my time would come and that I'd get my share of acne too. Well, I did get a little acne but it was usually just one or two pimples one time a month (if you know what I mean)...so I never really got in the habit of washing my face with cleanser then applying moisturizers, make-up etc. I still don't wear much make-up but I have been better about washing my face and doing the whole routine. One thing that I really didn't like about most of the moisturizers that I've used in the past is that they always seem to make me sweat. I know that doesn't make much sense but it just seemed that I would wash my face, apply some moisturizer and then my face would get so hot and sweat. I am not sure what that was all about but I really sort of just stopped using moisturizers because that bothered me so bad.

When I was contacted by the people at Sibu about trying out their moisturizer I was a little skeptical and a little excited. I was ready to give moisturizers another chance. I wanted to see if there were other products out there that would moisturize my skin without making me sweat. I wanted to see if there were products that would actually protect my skin without being greasy. Usually when something says it's not greasy it still is.

I was excited to start using the Sibu product and test out all its claims. First of all it truly is NOT greasy at all. The moisturizer leaves my skin feeling soft, refreshed and healthy. The scent is very light and I don't smell it after I put it on, which I like. Afterall, I don't want to be smelling my face all day. This is a great product and I'm so glad to have found it. I know you'll like it too. Let me tell you a little bit more about it with information from the Sibu website.

Here's some great information on the Omega 7 fatty acid.

The often elusive Omega 7 is found in the sea buckthorn berry, the key ingredient in all Sibu Beauty products, in addition to the more common Omega's 3, 6, and 9.  All four of these are critical in providing cellular support for healthy skin, hair and nails.

OMEGA 7 FATTY ACID HEALTH BENEFITS

After hundreds of years of quiet use, word of the astounding benefits of Omega 7 Fatty Acid has finally reached the US. Touted by Dr. Oz for its incomparable weight-loss properties, this rare but powerful “MUFA” (or Monounsaturated Fat) is popping up in media and in clinical study results across the country.
Omega 7 fatty acid (also called “Palmitoleic Acid” in most scientific and clinical publications) can be found in animal and plant sources, including macadamia nuts, cold-water fish and sea buckthorn berries. Sea buckthorn contains a much higher concentration of this valuable fatty acid, up to 40% as compared to 17% in macadamia nuts. While this omega has numerous skin and health benefits, it is also known for its ability to support a healthy weight, cardiovascular health, and gastro-intestinal health.*

Skin, hair and nails

Omega 7 provides key building blocks for skin, hair and nails. It helps combat wrinkles, dryness, loss of skin elasticity, and other symptoms of malnourished or aging skin. It also helps skin function properly by supporting numerous skin functions, including:
  • Boosting collagen production*
  • Protecting against oxidative damage*
  • Restoring youthful resilience and plumpness to aging skin cells*
  • Rejuvenating skin cell membranes*
  • Enhancing the skin’s ability to retain moisture*
  • Repairing sun-damaged skin*
  • Protecting against sun damage, toxins and environmental stress*
